In a type 1 conditional sentence, the tense in the "if" clause is the simple present, and the tense in the main clause is the simple future. A first conditional sentence is a form of conditional sentence used when the result or consequence is likely to occur in the future. This can happen because there are realistic conditions that make sense for the possibility to occur.
